Zero-Downtime Infrastructure for Digital Dentistry
When high-volume clinical operations meet aging technical debt, the result is lost revenue and frustrated patients. We didn't just fix the network at East Village Dental Centre; we engineered a 10Gbps backbone that eliminated bottlenecks in 3D imaging and CAD/CAM workflows.
By centralizing management and automating recovery, we achieved a benchmark of 100% system availability, ensuring the doctors could focus on patients while the technology worked in the background at peak velocity.
Case Study: East Village Dental Centre
East Village Dental Centre was struggling with "Legacy Lag." Massive 3D X-ray files from their Orthophos XG were being pushed through 1Gbps bottlenecks, causing lag in patient consultations. Worse, their CEREC milling machines were on an isolated "island," requiring staff to manually tether cables just to start a print.
Engineering for High-Velocity.
We demolished the technical debt by installing an enterprise-grade UniFi backbone. By integrating 10Gbps Fiber/DAC interconnects and a dedicated Intel X540-T1 NIC for the server, we increased data speeds by 10x. We also bridged the "CEREC Island," allowing doctors to send impressions to the mill wirelessly from any operatory.
100% Availability. Zero Friction.
To ensure uptime, we implemented Active Directory, MDM for patient iPads, and fleet-wide SSD upgrades. With our high-availability staging, a failed workstation can now be swapped and fully restored in under 7 minutes. The result is a practice that never stops moving, secured by automated patching and custom workflow macros.
